Fortunately, the author was able to bring that heat to her stories. The first two covered the themes of lust, adversity, and love very well. There were plenty of steamy sex scenes, and they were well-written and fun to read. The endings were good, and I finished both stories with a huge grin on my face.
The third story was a nice change from the other two. In this one the Marines were part of the plot, and the main character made some questionable choices along the way. These were sometimes painful to watch. I love when writers shake it up a bit and make me uncomfortable, and Knight did that well.
Overall, this was an excellent book. The stories were longer than expected, and they made for a great weekend read. You will learn some nifty seafaring terms along the way, and you will fall in love with the military and the characters. You can buy the book at amzn.to/2q7Jp0S
